Miriam Khanukaev acquires literary and upmarket fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir, essays, and criticism. She has recent and forthcoming fiction publications with Aisling Rawle (whose novel, The Compound, was a Good Morning America Book Club Pick), Marlowe Granados, Maia Ipp, Stacey Yu, Lauren Morrow, among others. In nonfiction, some of her authors include Meehan Crist, Thomas Asbridge, and Veena Dinavahi. Miriam also acquires for the Modern Library’s distinguished list of classics, and has commissioned introductory essays from Colm Tóibín, Sheila Heti, Josh Safdie, and Glory Edim. She has worked with numerous bestselling and award-winning writers—including Ed Yong, Jenny Odell, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Kathryn Schulz, among others. Miriam is fluent in Russian, speaks Spanish and a Persian-Judeo language called Juhuri.
