Bunmi’s primary focus is on children’s books, and she also contributes to the Ink & Willow gift product line. She’s interested in fiction and nonfiction for readers ages 0–18, with a special love for middle grade, and is specifically drawn to stories that authentically explore faith in action, have strong characters, and come from marginalized voices. Bunmi is a member of People of Color in Publishing and Entrusted Women, and serves on the board for The Word, A Storytelling Sanctuary, a nonprofit working to build a publishing community that fights for diversity. Prior to working in publishing, Bunmi worked in newspapers and magazines, and as a middle school social studies and English teacher.
