David Ebershoff is Vice President and Editor in Chief of Hogarth and Executive Editor of Random House. He has edited a wide range of fiction and nonfiction, including books that have won the Pulitzer Prize in fiction, history, and biography; a National Book Award in fiction; Oprah’s Book Club, Read with Jenna, and Good Morning America Book Club selections; several Booker Prize nominees; more than thirty New York Times bestsellers; and two winners of the Nobel Prize. The writers he edits include novelists Han Kang, Joyce Carol Oates, Kiran Desai, Gary Shteyngart, Mariana Enriquez, Vinson Cunningham, Namwali Serpell, Angie Kim, Jane Schoenbrun, Julia Phillips, Anthony Marra, Aria Aber, Chigozie Obioma, and Woody Brown; nonfiction writers Javier Zamora, Katherine Boo, Sarah Broom, Sonia Nazario, and David Kertzer; and poets Billy Collins and Deborah Garrison. Earlier in his career he worked with several of Random House’s legendary authors, including Norman Mailer, Jane Jacobs, Academy Award-winner Diane Keaton, and he edited the contemporary classic Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. David’s own novels include The Danish Girl, winner of the Lambda Literary Award and adapted into an Oscar-winning film, and the New York Times bestseller The 19th Wife, which was adapted for television.
